"Kalm" is the oldest track on the album, created all the way back in march of 2020. I even released it on this Bandcamp account, later deleting it again. It was actually an assignment by my keyboard teacher (right before covid hit) to come up with my own chord prgression. I didn't have a clue about what "scales" or "scale degrees" were, or how to create a nice progression using tension and release. Instead, I just did this. However, it has it's charm I suppose! At that time, the idea was for the album to consist of different songs which have a kind of "opposite" counterpart in the latter half of the album, this one's being called "panik", I never got around to actually finishing "panik" and I don't even know if the file still exists.
I really enjoyed this. I’m not a big electronic drum fan so I’m surprised 😲. Could be due to the fact that I was a drummer. Been a big electronic music fan since the moog was invented though. Listening to’Red Genesis’ right now. Very ephemeral. I may like this more. DrVibes
